Great trade unlike Luka
The problem Dallas is going to have is Luka looks absolutely great. I watched the Poland game and he had 34 points in basically 36 minutes. He had 2 blocks and 5 steals. 9 assists and I think 4 rebounds. He is going to have a good year and LA has put together a nice little squad. I could see LA winning 50 games and Luka winning the MVP. If Dallas struggles, it is going to be hell.
I dont think losing Parsons will be a huge deal. It is not like basketball where there are just 5 players on the court. It might hurt Dallas a little, but it won't prevent them from winning. It does make me wonder though if Dallas is going to try to make some sort of play for Manning. Also, the QB crop this year is much better than the last few years top to bottom. Maybe they are just trying to stockpile picks. I dont know.
In a way, I think Cooper wishes he wasn't in Dallas. That is why he didn't look thrilled on draft night. He is coming into a situation where he is being asked to turn around a franchise after the worst trade in sports history and then on top of that, he is going to be constantly compared to a for real generational talent. Luka is no joke as a player. He is absolutely elite. He isn't afraid of anything or anyone. In many ways, it is not fair to Cooper. I don't fell horrible for him because he is a mutli-millionaire playing a kid's game, but if he had gone any other place, he would have a ton less stress. Take the number 1 pick in Atlanta this year — no one cared if he did great or bad. They just let him be. That wont happen for Cooper.

Nick's right as a mavs fan ive only gone once to the arena during the years luka played. Tickets are expensive and you obviously dont want to go alone so you wanna bring friends and then it becomes this whole other thing. A new arena is not sufficient enough, if anything it'll anger fans more.

Listen.. Micah is NOT Luka. As great as he is his play never led to multiple playoff wins, a NFC championship (WCF), or a finals appearance.. it’s not the same thing. You can’t pay a guy 47 mil a year if he has ONE sack in clinching opportunities, playoffs, or wildcard games.. it’s just not how that works

From being a fan of both, Luka’s trade is 100 times worst. Jerry pays his guys and was ready to pay Micah but somewhere he felt he couldn’t live off 41 mil a year. Parsons tried to bluff Jerry with all the Instagram drama and how he didn’t want to be a a Cowboy and Jerry said, see you later. Luka is likable, Parsons not so much especially after the BS attitude and body language of how he hates it here. Also, Luka would always produce and Micah had the tendency to disappear in the 2nd half of the season. Ijs.

Wasn’t Nico the GM when the team decided not to pay Brunson the summer before his last season, and again decided not to offer Brunson a contract in the next spring and summer before the Knicks jumped in; or was that all Cuban? That, to me, was a bad mistake.
