Evriday!!
Trade Jose Alvarado? He literally was just carried off the court on a stretcher crying….

Willie needs to go. He cares too much about seniority over skill. simple as.
I’m from Louisiana but stay in Atlanta.. I’m tired of these people talking trash on my saints and pels .. we gotta make some noise this season 💯
I sure hope fears is ready to go . Looks like Jose Alvarado could be out for months or the season
I like Willie Green, but he is on a short leash in my opinion. In all fairness all of the injuries didn't help last year.
I'll do another year of league pass just to see the game when somewhere in week 7 Z gets injured again and misses another 4 months

Hi Jake
Fears needs to play a lot sitting rookies hasn’t worked at all let him play and develop
Willie Green is a very good coach who has been sabotaged by injuries. My only issue is that I think he needs to open things up offensively.
jake, i respect that you actually watch every pelicans game and know this team better than the national guys. but you’re leaning into the same surface level narratives you usually call out, especially with the derrick queen trade and this “two timelines” idea.
first, the queen trade. acting like giving up an unprotected 2026 pick is reckless ignores context. if the pels and bucks perform as expected, that pick projects in the 20s, where the odds of an impact player drop off. moving up 10 spots is never free. queen fits exactly what dumars said he wants — offensive skill, ability to break down defenses, team first mentality. that is a smart, aggressive play. if the lakers did this, it would be called bold. when the pels do it, it gets labeled risky. that is market bias, not logic.
second, the “rookies won’t develop without minutes” take does not hold up here. herb jones was in the starting lineup by his third nba game and finished with 69 starts as a rookie. trey murphy barely played as a rookie — 62 games, only 1 start, 13.9 minutes per game, with g league stints — and now every team in the league wants him. jose alvarado played 54 games at 15 minutes a night as a rookie and became a key role player. yves missi just started 67 of 73 games as a rookie. willie green has shown he will play young guys when they help him win, and if they need seasoning, g league reps and limited minutes do not stunt a career. development is not linear, and sitting some early does not prevent a year three or year four leap.
that is why the “two timeline” framing is misleading. it makes it sound like a philosophical crisis when it is just normal roster building. vets carry the load, rookies improve year over year whether they play 30 minutes or 12, and if a young guy pops early, that is a bonus. calling that a two timeline problem is just recycling a narrative that underrates this front office and this coach.
