I dont agree with you here. Deni is showing more with israel. He is being doubled constantly (something he doesnt egt in the NBA yet) and he is still finding ways to score. Not only that, he has shown a lot more off the dribble shooting in the eurobasket. The majority of his jumpers are self created off the dribble shots. Also, he has put to bed the criticisms that he can't really go left, as he has been going left frequently so far this tournament
Mike, regarding Deni, you’re missing two important points. First, in the EuroBasket, Deni is option number one, therefore he’s heavily defended by the teams’ best defenders. Still, he is able to set the tone and be the best on the court. Second, he is the team leader, able to carry them through the tournament, acting as the solo superstar. Both cases are a bit different compared to the situation in Portland.
Everyone needs to get used to that.

Don't overlook deni's leadership he is displaying in the EuroBasket, and his passion in games, if he can insert that to the Blazers that is the first part of the leap we all are looking for.

A few things you’re missing Mike. Deni is being guarded as a superstar, double and triple teamed, the game is shorter, the scores are very low and the European game is much more team oriented so more players share the score load. With all of that in mind Deni’s numbers are pretty crazy as 2 way player. The only player that does NBA numbers in the euro basket is Luka because his team is bad and he’s not the number 1 option but he is the only option there. All the other NBA superstars put up numbers that are much lower compared to their NBA numbers due to what I mentioned above. A better way to gauge Deni’s improvement is comparing his current Eurobasket campaign to the one from 2022, he’s a MONSTER compared to how he was back then.
Israel should not be allowed to participate in euroleague. Denis game is so good but he is a Zionist unfortunately
In the Poland game, they barely let Deni rest (he played about 38 out of the 40 minutes) so towards the end of the game he became less productive.
The fact he and Israel as a whole managed to bounce back after less than 24 hours and beat France (where he played a more balanced number of minutes with around 27) is simply incredible.
what will make Deni better? – as far as I have seen Deni care more about the team success then its own
so again, the real question is what Deni has to do to make Portland better
the role that he will take might hurt his own position in the top 100 nba players

Deni is just an all-around great player. He doesn't have an obvious weakness that if he improves will take him to the next level.
He can improve his shot a little, cut down the turnovers and maybe make some more mid-ranges – that will for sure make him a 22+ ppg with ~10 rebounds and just some better shooting teammates far from being a triple double machine. An all-star for sure.
you missing mike something really big this eurobasket what deni doing there is way more impressive then doing it in the playoff because he the only weapon israel have so others nations are focus about him he gets all the attention and deni still putting on a show is that dont show you he can be portland face of the franchise and their number one option chauncey is there and hes seeing it he know deni is him
I don't think you guys in America understand how big a deal it is that Israel beat France… It was almost unimaginable before. In terms of Israeli sports it's a historic moment.
