Will Wendell Carter TIP THE SCALES for Magic? | Germany shows Magic the way
The Orlando Magic have a lot of players with high upsides who could shift the Magic’s potential for the better. Who will step up to make the Magic championship contenders?
The answer may be an unlikely hero in Wendell Carter who could be the linchpin of the Magic’s defense and a good safety valve in a smaller role for the Magic. He may not show up in the stat sheet, but Carter’s presence will be big for the Magic this season.
Franz Wagner showed up big in Germany’s EuroBasket opener, leading them with 22 points in a 30-point win over Montenegro. Germany’s style and defense are reminiscent of the Magic and are a good analog for the way the Magic should continue to grow this season.

I think the only thing I don't like about your podcast is that it ends.
I thought it was multiple games windell gave up 13 offensive rebounds
The problem is when WCJ is asked to be involved consistently he can average a good shooting percentage for a center and can get you 14 a night. The problem is when he isnt used he falls off. Desmond Bane is going to need 18 shots a night. They have to come at the expense of other players. Last year KCP averaged around 9 attempts a game. Thats half what Bane will need. Those shots have to come from somewhere. A faster pace, less shots for Suggs and Carter Jr? It will be interesting to see how engaged WCJ can be while being asked to be a defensive anchor mostly. Will he stay engaged, we will find out, he is a professional so I suspect he will do what the team needs.
