The San Antonio Spurs could use a starting power forward alongside Victor Wembanyama. Lauri Markkanen of the Utah Jazz has been lights out in Eurobasket. Spurs Trading for Lauri Markkanen could make a ton of sense for the Spurs and give them a legit floor spacer and allow the Spurs to run a 5 out offense.

Markkanen is a borderline allstar in Utah. The team and the fanbase, overall, prefer players that look like Markkanen, Bird, Dončić, Jokić, Nowitzki, Stockton, Nash. To trade someone like Markkanen, the Jazz will accept nothing less than your arm and your leg.
I’ll only take him in a multi team trade, and where we don’t have to give up many valuable assets
He is very good but doesn't worth his max contract.

We need to quit star hunting, we have what is going to be the biggest basketball star the NBA has seen, maybe ever, we need to build a team around Wemby, we need defenders, rebounders, three point shooters, and just guys who will play the role. We have scorers all over the place, and Wemby might be the most lethal scorer in the NBA when he matures into himself. We have, Fox, Harper, Castle, and Wemby, build around those guys! I'm done with us star hunting!

Lauri and wemby together is insane offense. They both can run ball handler and screener pnr and hand offs on both sides

It doesn't make sense tbh, way to much salary for our 3rd option. His Defense is lacking, he'll Vassell is a better shooter & defender as a 3rd or 4th ption would produce about the same. It would also sacrifice our biggest weapon currently (our depth) if we're going to lose DV it should be for some1 like trey Murphy who is slightly bigger and better than dv on defense with similar shooting & would produce better on both sides than Lauri for 20mil less. That's from some1 who isn't keen on the DV &3 picks for trey deal. I think if we're giving up 3 1st round picks & salary swap for anyone it should be KJ & picks for Herb Jones. Would make us way better than lauri or trey as we keep DV, but add another 6'7 3pt shooter who's arguably the best perimeter defender in the NBA for a SUPER steal of a contract for the next 5 years. Solves our spacing & cap issues while making us elite on Def not to mention Barnes is getting old & Herb would be a perfect replacement & hopefully Bryant develops by then to fill herbs spot… Esp with Barnes& olynk expiring this year for 32 mil combined.. And KJ swaps even for herbs salary, giving us PLENTY of cap space for expiring rookie deals & with our exceptions we could even add another skilled big to run wemby at the4 like they should with Kornet, I just think Olynk as the only C on court is a liability, but we're going to NEED to do get another compatible Center with wemby at 4 or sign a big 4 who can handle other double bugs like Okc, Huston, Memphis & Milwaukee. I really think kornet is already perfect to pair with wemby. Only problem is we need someone who can hold down the5 while those2 rest
