Steve Ballmer is worse than Donald Sterling. Sterling was just a horrible person away from the court. Ballmer’s scheme has affected the competitive balance of the league and the results of games. Ballmer should get the same punishment as Sterling. Also, Kawhi should be suspended for a full season.
Fraud is Fraud. They should make Ballmer sell the team.
The damning piece of evidence in all this is the fact that this Aspiration LLC deal would be null and void should Kawhi Leonard leave the Clippers… like that right there is going to be tough to overcome.
Someone from SI posted an article earlier today of the NBA protocols for a team circumventing the cap, they would be looking at a $4.5m fine (as a first time offender) and the loss of one 1st Round draft pick- so yeah this is a bombshell of a story, especially since Kawhi is so easy to dislike if you're not a LAC fan but ultimately not much is going to come of this… one pick in the 20s and a $4.5m fine for Ballmer would be like a $5 fine for you or me.
