    I may have misunderstood your statement, but the top 3 protected 2029 pick swap means the Sixers can opt to swap IF the Clips pick does NOT fall in the top 3 … So if the Clips win the lottery by being picks #1, #2 or #3 then they keep the pick and the trade ends there & will not convey the following year in 2030… So ideally we would prefer obviously being a playoff team while the Clips end up with picks #4 -> #14…

    Clarification on the 2029 pick swap: If the Clippers' pick is 1st, 2nd, or 3rd: The top-3 protection applies, so the Clippers keep their pick, and the 76ers keep their own pick, regardless of where the 76ers' pick falls.

    If the Clippers' pick is 4th or lower: The 76ers can swap picks and take the Clippers' pick if it’s better than their own. For example, if the 76ers’ pick is 15th and the Clippers’ pick is 5th, the 76ers would take the 5th pick, and the Clippers would receive the 15th pick.
