After watching a number of reports on this subject, I'd say the Raptors will not get anything if the Clippers are stripped of draft picks. That is because this 28 million scam happened with the second contract and not the first one after he left the Raptors. I'm not saying there wasn't any under the table stuff done, initially but it wasn't the big circumvention of the salary cap. I hope the league stands up to this cheating.
Also in one report supposedly the new/next CBA actually defines the penalties for this kind of violation and they sure as hell watered down any penalties. Raptors fan, please forget getting any payback. I don't think anyone is truly considering that gambling money is in the league both external and internal (a.k.a the Mavs).

Didn’t watch video, and didn’t need to, in order to discredit the Title. First of all, this happened as part of his renewal contract, not the initial one. Also, the investigation hasn’t taken place yet, so nothing is “Official”. The Clippers are the ones who got scammed, as they didn’t get any type of return on their investment. They cheated and still lost, so lol @ them….
Good for Steve Ballmer. Because he over paid Kawhi, which caused a cascade of trades with PG-13 and draft picks give-away…

In 2018-19, the Los Angeles Clippers had representatives attend 111 games. Nothing shady about that, not tampering, just they really enjoyed spending so much time with him that year. I'm sure they actually spoke directly, staying in the same hotels, restaurants, men's rooms… 😅

This is nothing new. Raptors were complaining to the league the whole year Kawhi was here about tampering. Lakers also complained. Worked out good for us. We would have also had to get PG13.

I have my doubts that Silver and the NBA will penalize the Clippers too much if they do at all. After all, money talks. Even with all the shenagigans, it hasn't worked out too well for the Clippers.

There won't be any punishment. The CBA:
1. $4.5M fine for violating cap rules (not even a slap on the wrist)
2. Void the contract (can't do it, Kawhi's extended since the infraction so it's not the same contract)
3. Strip 1 draft pick. (Clippers don't own any until 2030. And even if they do that, it's hardly a deterrence)
4. Remove Ballmer as an owner (sure, try to take away the favorite toy of the 6th richest man in the world. A guy who just paid for an entire arena out of his pocket change, and a guy who could buy every franchise in the league himself)
Nothing of consequence is going to happen. Adam Silver gets walked all over yet again, and it's another black eye for the credibility of the league. Kawhi, Brunson, the Heatles. That's before you look at stuff like Jontay Porter, or Tim Donaghy and all the sports betting madness. And before you look at the Luka to LA trade, the AD to LA trade, the 'miraculous' draft lottery odds or questionable officiating. What needs to happen, is Adam Silver needs to go. Not that you'd expect it change anything internally, but the guy has the firmness of a wet noodle, the league has a serious credibility problem, and he's presiding over a time where viewership numbers are falling like crazy. He needs to go.
You have to be extremely naive to think circumventing the cap is a rarity in the NBA. The Clips are jusy VERY bad at it lol.
