MJ 87 season played 4 more minutes and shot almost four more shots a game than harden during his 36 a game season but keep in mind MJ era was more physical and they didn’t emphasize the three back then. He shot 48% and scored 3000 points. Harden shot 44% and averaged almost 14 threes a game this was literally 6 or 7 years ago! MJ is probably the most explosive and arguably the most skilled finisher ever. MJ got better in the playoffs scoring wise against better defenses (actually historic defenses). Again this is him at his athletic apex and on a bad team where no system was established really. Comparing harden and jokic to MJ when we have seen them shrink in the playoffs is funny. MJ in this era in his 87 body would average 34-35 a game easy efficiently . And 40-43 PPG if he was pushing for it efficiently. To be clear he is capable to score 45 a game efficiently on a bad team. Jokic and harden Durant could not do that thier motors are not good enough and the explosion of scoring ability is not in them, Kobe yes but no one else. Lastly MJ also played defense at an elite level. I rest my case😂
this is my favorite content to consume on youtube 🥂
Kawhi not beating kd 1v1 man stop this kd cooked him every time they played
I love this channel…but your honest response to why you didn't make it further in basketball…hit home…..most kids need guidance to make it far in sports….with no direction its really hard!
One of the most frustrating things when I hear people compare basketball players in the context of who is better is that people seem to think that being better 1 v 1 is the same thing as being better at the actual game of 5 v 5 basketball. This is why so many people rate Kyrie Irving so absurdly highly (some even claiming he’s better than Curry, which is patently insane…). Kyrie is far from the only one, but he’s the example that comes most clearly to mind for me.
Mailbag:- can you explain pistol action and how it works and what are the advantages and disadvantages
If MJ is the GOAT, he is the sacrifice to GOD LeBron
KAREEM AND JORDAN 2 BEST OFFENSIVE MOVES, MEANING OF EXCELLENCE ON OFFENSE AND THEY HAVE RINGS TO PROVE IT NOBODY CAN MAKE THEM MISS THEY JUST CANT MAKE EVERY SHOT
Mailbag: Hi Jason, love your show. More of a operating/business question. How substantial of a drop off do you see in views when the NBA is on vs when it's off? And how much do you try to inclide Steph/Lebron/Jokic or Lakers and Warriors when you are picking mailbag questions and just content in general?
Haha dude doesnt think Jason glazes lebron enough. . Jason's not the worst lebron glazers but hes up there too
With a rookie coach to include vs Kerr a top 5 coach
James Harden struggles in playoffs because he’s not a great athlete, gets fatigued by playoffs and playing against the best athletes in the league and loses confidence… MJ was the best athlete ever and always confident way different player there is no comparison… but no he wouldn’t average 45… he would put up SGA numbers with better D
Your personal story about your basketball career and the happiness you've found in your marriage has really inspired me, I've always wondered how my life would have been if some things had happened differently, but you know what, I look around me and I have it pretty good. Thank you so much for the candidness, this video gave me a life lesson and it's one I'll revert back to from time to time ❤
The best part of this episode is hearing your story of your basketball journey and the silver lining in not making the pro’s like meeting your wife and still enjoying the game of ball today but in a different way. I’ve said it before in other comments sections, I said it to you on playback, your channel has been suck a joy and a luxury for anyone who wants to learn more about the game. Keep up the great work Jason!
MJ is always my choice of Goat, but I mostly agree with Jason on the scoring take. The talent level is much higher these days in NBA, and no one can play a full season without being targeted by defense to stop u. MJ could reach close to average 40, but no way higher.
Great to hear how you handle the unwarranted negativity, you’re extremely authentic about your opinions and that’s hard to come by these days (especially in the sports media realm). It’s also very inspiring to hear you open up about your basketball career and cool to see that you chose a really good life and still followed your passions. Glad to follow your content, you’re my #1 source of nba content. Keep up the great work and thanks for being such a great student of the game and podcaster!
Curry was 11th seed before jimmy but yeah his gravity and offensive engine😭😭
Jason the kind of guy I wish was my real life buddy. Thanks for sharing all your anecdotes and life stories with us. You really don’t have to but the fact that you do really creates a great vibe around this channel.
The question asking if you get discouraged with annoying fans reminds me of that quote from The Dark Knight, "Some people just want to watch the world burn". There are folks on here that just want to say all kinds of shit to wreak havoc and have no interest in being rational.
This is insanity. Harden, Shai? Lol. Greek Freak avg over 30 with no jump shot and no post moves. Zion played fat and out of shape and avg 27. Luka with limited athletism and few moves avg over 30. And the GOAT, MJ can't avg 45? Lolol. I guess you know more than Ty Lue now. OK lolol
What you described there is how kobe carried himself not lebron. Lebron is just goofy, passive aggressive, petty and plastic.
