  1. 22.5 mil to come off the bench is a luxury btw. Means someone cheaper is better and starting. Mavs looking good.

  2. Great deal done as PJ's work speaks for itself especially the Mavs win/loss record with him vs without. Him and Gafford was the core to that Finals run.

The Contract I won't lie is a little pricey but factoring the rising market for Forwards in the NBA it can quickly become a bargain as Mikal, OG, Tatum, Jalen Williams, Brown, etc already are priced over 120 million already.

Also no I don't feel PJ is coming off the bench as he will play the 3 spot.
Great off-season by Nico tho. He went to work despite the hate. Oh also PJW is ineligible to be traded.

  3. Congrats to Mr stand on bidness I’m happy for him Home town product gettin the bag just stay away from that baby mama drama and we gone be aight 😂😂😂😂

  4. When dealing with millions I really don't like hearing cheap. "Relatively a bargain" I like. Regardless, I like how we can keep this team together for multiple seasons. Barring any trades, we have the following signed through at least 2027-28: Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, Daniel Gafford, PJ Washington, Cooper Flagg, Caleb Martin, Max Christie, Jaden Hardy, and Dereck Lively II. Among these players, Hardy is likely gone after this season via stretch waive at $2 million cap hit per season for 3 years. My list consists of guaranteed deals, player options, team options, and a qualifying offer.

  5. Shout out to Kyrie Irving bc if he didn't take that discount and ask for more money then PJ Washington, and Gafford would've been traded by now, or we would've been choosing who to pick Gaff, or PJ, and also one of the main reasons we traded Grimes away bc he wanted way too much money.

  6. through thick and thin i fucking love my mavs. the second apron era has punched alot of teams in the gut but we're currently sitting very pretty and coop being on a 14m deal for the next 4 years only makes navigating under the cap that much easier. i do have some concern over Bwill this upcoming offseason tho, i wouldn't be surprised if he plays himself into an full MLE or a little bit less and I'm wondering if we're going to have the space for him.. ideally we find a way to get caleb off the books to make room to keep Bwill but thats the only real question mark, almost everyone else important is locked up for the next 2-3 years.

  7. I do like PJ. And im glad we extended him. But i wouldn't say $22.5m is a steal at all. If PJ shows he's been working on his game and shows improvement, then great! If he is the same ole PJ from last 2 yrs, maybe it wasnt such a bargain. Even more so if he isnt getting as many minutes with Flagg here. I'll be optimistic and hope PJ shows improvement. Let's Go Mavs!!
