If I am an NBA team. The most I will give Cam Thomas is 4yr $90 million. He is a very good bucket getter. Can be a very good 3rd option on a championship team but outside of scoring. He provides pretty much nothing else. If he shots doesn’t fall. His basically a liability but despite that he can still bring good value for a championship team. Especially if he is playing that 6th man role off the bench.
Cam is smart for wanting to move on from the Nets. We all know he's in a situation where the future at best is a first round playoff exit. It's worth risking for something better, holding out, doing his best to stay healthy, etc. I wish the pacers or pistons could afford him. it doesn't make sense for the nets to hard ball negotiate with cam when they don't have a best alternative to negotiated agreement to replace him. I would love to see Kuminga for cam thomas swap if kuminga take the QO as well. It would benefit them both as kuminga want to show he can drop 20+ on a tanking team and get all the touches and Cam thomas would benefited to prove he can contribute to winning basketball and warriors need a sixth man badly.
