I agree with Bird!! But both boston teams physically at their best facing eachother,,,,? It's a coin toss!! I'm a diehard Celtics fan since the late 80's and all through the struggles of the 90's btw! Pierce could never stop Larry but, larry couldn't stop prime Pierce either. Prime Garnett would work McHale due to style, aggression, and his ability to score anywhere besides the 3pt. No one could stop Prime ray Allen because he was dunking all over anyone then and,, you couldn't keep up with his off ball movement to stop his 3pt shooting! 2008 Celtics had a role player roster that would probably dominate Birds role players when the starters sat down so,,,,, I guess, the 2008 Celtics would take the series lol. Guys like Perkins, Leon Powe, and tony Allen would handle the rough style the old Celtics played with lol.
