Bilal Coulibaly STRUGGLES in STUNNING France Loss | Will He Be On a Short Leash in 2025?

Bilal Coulibaly has had a mixed bag in the Eurobasket, with his last 4 games for France looking pretty pedestrian at best. The French were stunned by an upset loss to Georgia, which eliminated them from the FIBA EuroBasket. In 2025, will the Wizards have Bilal on a short leash because of other talent on the wing? Ben and Abdullah wonder if it looks like an uphill battle for Bilal to get an extension in October 2026.

  1. BOTH OF OUR FRANCE GUYS ARE PASSIVE BY NATURE THEY MAY TRY TO ACT DIFFERENT BUT THEY ARE NOT AGGESIVE BY NATURE😢😢BUT WE GOT CAM WHITMORE..REAL.DAWG🦍🦍🦍😤😤😤😤🥂🥂🥂

  2. STARTING LINEUP….CJ AT THE PG…BCOUL AT THE SG…CAM WHITMORE AT THE 3…KHRIS AT THE PF…SARR AT CENTER🚨🚨🚨🤷‍♂️

  3. He's Dawkins first draft pick, he's gonna have the longest leash ever and that extension is a lock

  4. Too much emphasis on the 3 ball. While I do agree Bilal needs to improve his shooting, he is elite as a rim finisher and should be much more aggressive attacking the basket. That will open up the floor for shooters like Tre, Corey, Khris and Kyshawn. That is the best way Bilal can compliment his teammates

  5. Bilal is NOT the next Scottie Pippen…He might be a poor man's Horace Grant, he's not even a poor man's Harvey Grant….the percentage of players with "upside" that don't maximize their potential is far higher than those that do… leaving school after one year, or teenagers from overseas is a terrible thing for the NBA.

  6. I'm starting to feel like it's the same old bullets…no D, no rebounding, bunch of guys playing the same position…if they pick another teenager with " upside" I'm done

  7. I am sure the Wizards FO will approach Bilal with a team-friendly extension offer for what he is – a defensive role player. A comp would be recent #5 pick Isaac Okoro who extended for 3yrs/$33 million. The question will be if he accepts that or does his agent feel he can get more from another team willing to gamble on his supposed upside.. as we see now with Kuminga and Cam Thomas you may have to let the process play out

  8. I hope we trade Bibal Coulibaly to 76er's for Kelly Oubre, Jr. and buyout Khris Middleton contract. I loved Kelly Oubre, when he was here!

  9. Living in Spain, I've watched a lot of the tournament and here's what I noticed with Bilal in particular. He's NOT a catch and shoot player AT ALL. He looks really unconfortable setting his feet and getting into his shooting motion recieving the ball. He does look decent however as a movement shooter from pretty much anywhere including from three. He looks like he can take guys off the dribble and finish around the rim including a floater which is impressive with his length.

Im not sure what his usage rate was but I can tell you it was pretty low even for the min he played. He ran to the corner on every offensive possession and when he did get the ball passed to him it was normally a catch and shoot look which was painful to watch.

I really think Bilal would be better coming off the bench as a defensive chess piece that would also enable him to be more of a focal point with the ball in his hands with the second unit. Both France and the Wiz are trying to force him into a 3 and D role but all 3 and D guys I know are all good at catch and shoot jumpers… and thats not Bilal right now at all.

Having the ball in his hands with the 1st unit would be a tough sell but I think he would flourish in that role off the bench…

  10. You have to perform from day one this season. This team needs quality bench players too and Bilal's three year downward trend proves that's where he should be operating from in the hope he can become a Jaden McDaniels. Starters; CJ, Tre, Cam, Kyshawn, Sarr!!! Anything else is a disservice to those players, and the fans. Bub, Bilal, and the rest can back them up.

  11. I hate to say it but bilals role is obsolete. Up when you have players like whittmore, george, and Riley it's all barking at his heels.. it might be better to trade him it's at the deadline wit cj for a first rounder
