OKC Thunder Rotation Breakdown: Who Gets Minutes vs Spurs & Nuggets Playoff Test?

OKC Thunder Rotation Breakdown: Who Gets Minutes vs Spurs & Nuggets Playoff Test?

The Oklahoma City Thunder are deeper than ever heading into the 2025-26 season — but when the games matter most, who actually cracks the rotation? In this episode, we break down which Thunder players will get minutes next year by using two hypotheticals: a Christmas Day showdown against Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs, and a high-stakes Western Conference Finals battle with Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.

We debate which players are locks for the playoff rotation, who might see their roles reduced, and how Mark Daigneault could balance development with winning at the highest level. From Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren leading the charge, to Ajay Mitchell, Nikola Topić, and other young Thunder prospects fighting for minutes, we explore every angle of OKC’s depth chart.

  1. You guys need to do a close game with 10 guy rotation against a good opponent. Then do a blow out game against the Jazz or something where you get 13 guys minutes because the main 4 or 5 guys are sitting in the 4th quarter.
Doing a high leverage game in the regular season and another one in the playoffs seems redundant.

  2. Go look at Wallaces game logs. He doesn't play 23 minutes. He plays 27-31 almost every game. Not sure I understood your reasoning to keep him so low.

  3. J-Will getting 10 min a game vs Nuggets. He was huge in that series last year. Ajay not getting a lot of minutes in that series.
