i think its more of protecting the player.
no matter how ridiculous it sounds, there are players that can see something like this and say "the team is trying to make me look bad"

Harper and Castle are very young players, still very unefficient. They should show what they got with the second unit before to integrate the starting lineup. Vassell is an experimented and efficient player to be the starter at the SG spot in the very important games in 2025 (the Spurs schedule is much more favorable in 2025 than in 2026 and the Spurs need to start very strongly if they want to reach the playoffs)
Btw Castle should finish lot of games in the first months of the season because he has already shown last season that he knows how to leverage his level in the money time (where Vassell tends to disappear in the Q4).

Why tf would castle ever come off the bench
SILLY: the whole "dunked on" idea is ridiculous when people actually play team ball. Like should you give help D, or avoid last minute contests because you might be in the photo when the dunk happens? Do we even know how they got into that position with Castle dunking? For all we know Harper had just been blocked out until it was too late. THIS is why Europeans play better ball — less about looking good and more about doing your best on every play, no matter what the highlights might show.
QUESTION: Could this play possibly be the moment when Harper's thumb got injured? I don't know the timeline.
Reports coming out Harper injured his thumb on his left hand during practice and had surgery, will be out for like 6-8 weeks. If I had to guess this is why the video was removed as this was most likely when the injury occurred, I cant be 100% sure but it seems likely.
Spurs for years want to keep stuff under wraps, within the team. They also realize their international profile has gotten a lot higher, and they don't want people talking sh't and trying to create a controversy that doesn't exist.

Dylan throwing lobs and having a 2 way game with Kornet in the 2nd unit is something I am excited about.

It’s good to have worthy competitors on your team to keep your tools sharpened and ready for the actual season and they clearly have playoffs on dey mind already. That’s all the fans are focused on. We got to be ready cuz it’s looking like we making the playoffs this season my boy.
I also think they’re in a unique position to create a new breed of NBA legacy players that aren’t messy in the media, keep the focus on basketball, and create opportunities for themselves and their community to grow together healthily.
And it’s cool to keep stacking rookies to help them take the game further and create better strategies to extend health and wealth of the players. So they can learn from each other while keeping each other deadly sharp. 😉Stay focused my bros. Love y’all. ❤
