Absolutely zero doubt about it. He ABSOLUTELY would be and his perceived value would increase as well.

When Domas took more attempts, it was because he was forcing it due to his teammates missing every shot. Of course, we would have a worse winning percentage.
I think his mentality is not like the Jokić's, in the way that he is pass first but is not really a fan of scoring. Jokic is pass first but he knows that since he's such a good scorer that he makes defenses afraid as soon as he gets the ball. Domas has great touch and everything all that's needed to be a great 3 level scorer, and defenses respect him but know that he doesn't take advantage of his scoring that potential. If he changes his mentality to be willing to score rather than aiming to get points would be great, since he does collapse defenses when he gets in the paint.
I'm a Lakers fan but i want to say that Sabonis played the Play In game against Dallas and many other games without a true point guard, did you measure that too?
He just makes way too much money for a guy who hides on offense during crunch time and in general cant even be the 2nd scoring option on a good team. The proof that he cant be the 2nd option on a good team is that he sucked in the 23 playoffs, and we lost.
Then you add LaVine, who arguably is even more overpaid than Sabonis relative to impact on winning, and you realize this team is doomed to be an 8 thru 12 seed, a.k.a. the worst possible position a team can be in, for the remainder of LaVine's contract

Kings fan base has gone completely soft. Kings had no point guard and no defensive coordinator for the last handful of games. Kings will be a better team and Zach LaVine and Sabonis will be All-Stars. Embarrassing fan base

Domas has lead the league in rebounding for his entire time in Sac and been among the league's leaders in assists, one of the franchise leaders in triple doubles so all those who think he needs to score more need to look at the black hole Demar and Lavine will create next year. He is a top three center in the league and probably other the young guys the only reason I might still watch next year. If I am Keegan I see the years Fox spent here watching the island of misfit toys approach fail every year and him asking for a trade rather than asking for an extension, why would he stay and be the 4th or 8th option
It's idiotic looking at offensive stats whether he needs to score more or not. Same goes for his $40M salary, there is nothing you can do about it because he is all you've got in the post. Sacramento has no choice but to pay him. The only way he can get better is to pair him with the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jaren Jackson Jr, Bam Adebayo…complementary players with defense and offense. Sort of like the pairing of Divac and Weber. Keegan Murray is a good defensive player, unfortunately he is not big enough to defend the post. Unfortunately still for Sacramento, he is more of a perimeter offensive player where Sacramento has already a lot of, So, it's hard to get Murray to be a special player. Sacramento just has too many perimeter offensive players, jump shooters that does not complement Sabonis. Sabonis with Giannis, Sabonis with Jaren Jackson Jr, Sabonis with Adebayo, a combination like this would dominate the post. Sacramento needs to make a trade for a player to complement Sabonis. Otherwise, Sacramento will be looking at repeats of play-in and out of playoffs, rinse repeat.
How does Sacramento win without DeRozan on the floor? If Christie cannot figure that out then, he needs to be fired.

Let's face it, drafts are fairly random and GMs work with very little opportunity to make moves. Even the corrupt "Balmer" ways often fail out hard. Big media markets will always on average get the bigger talent, just the way life is.
Yes he could be moreselfish and there are time when in frustration when I wish he woud not let DD and Lavine jacking their shots but Sabonis is a team player in the end. He will always enjoy assist more than points.
Sabonis, IMHO, is just a real decent player, who really isn't a dominate, great player. I call Sabonis "The Paper Tiger." Sabonis is not a winner, and he's definitely not the answer to what ails the Kings. Right now, the Kings don't have a single player on their roster that anyone would considered to be a dominate player. They have no chance. The Kings still lack adequate rim protection, which has hurt them quite a bit in recent years. Running the offense through Sabonis is a mistake because, now, you leave the paint wide open. I believe this will be yet another very disappointing season for Kings fans. However, I'll be first in line for the season opener at the Golden 1 Center!!!
I don’t think he’s capable otherwise he would. Doesn’t seem confident to shoot open jumpers often, his post game is contingent upon shoving & elbowing defenders out of the way to create space which could easily be called an offensive foul. It’s surprising to me considering who his father is who was very talented
