The Knicks have made multiple moves! According to reports, the Knicks are bringing back Landry Shamet, finally finalizing their roster after weeks of uncertainty. The Knicks are also adding another player to NY’s training camp roster and the focus? Prioritizing shooting and they absolutely did that with their latest addition. Yes we finally got a 3rd string SG who wont get minutes. Awesome move. Now we have a SG playing back up PG. A SF starting at SG and a SF starting at PF. Another year of guys playing out of position. We still do not have a legit back up PG and a legit starting SG. Still major holes in my opinion.
Thanks Troy. I don't believe it, they did me boy dirty making him wait this long & putting Simmons over him. Even if it is over I still don't believe it 😂 don't forget Shamet brings availability. Bout dam time somebody took that Julius Randle weed from Leon, this was long overdue. Kolek & Huk needs to be developed this year, plain & simple, they need consistent minutes off the bench, it will only help us & before people say Kolek is a weak defender, how else will he improve if he doesn't get actual consistent minutes vs actual NBA comp 🤷🏿♂️

Yea I’m feeling proud about this signing it gives us great depth at the 2/3 position but Troy who do you think gets that last roster spot shamet or Matthews and even if they sign someone else I still think it’s shamet like the FO loves him I think this is more of comp but I think Shamet is a lock to make the roster by opening night

Its for training camp. Its not guaranteed yet. He still has to show out in camp. He should get it.
What most of you don’t realize is that Leon Rose is using psychological manipulation methods to see who budges and who doesn’t. This is very useful as we near the trading deadline.
He's like any other bench guy, thrives with consistent minutes. He's had 30 pt games, could be good in the new system.
Does this mean they have faith in Kolek as the backup PG?

Aye the Knicks could trade Kolek and sign Malcom. Then draft another pg in the 2026 draft. They most likely want a tall pg that is 6'4 and up that plays defense. Also in the future of the Knicks.
Matthews is a chucker! He can shoot it from 3, but he can give you Cam Payne moments with his shot selection
Better late than never. It’s about time we resigned Shamet. 👍🏾 As far is Matthew, that’s a waste roster space. He’s 29 and does nothing but shoot. That’s not a bad thing for another team but Shamet does that and he’s a better player all around. Save the roster for looking for emerging young talent or take a flyer on a young guy who hasn’t popped yet.
