It’s my understanding that Brogdon and Shamet are non-guaranteed training camp contracts. Could they make the team? Absolutely! But for both of them to make it, the Knicks will have to clear somebody (or somebodies) out. Trade away Koleck, maybe Dadiet or even Deuce for draft picks in order to make the dollars work.
There’s also the possibility that they might get offers elsewhere so nothing’s a done deal.
I’m excited for the season, gotta say though, last year’s bench wasn’t as bad as everyone says. Imo if Thibbs let Wright, Shamet, Precious, and Payne get minutes during stretches last season the Knicks could have beaten Indiana. That said, I do love the new look bench… LGK!
This is exactly how the Knicks won championships in '69 & '73. Solid starting 5 & 4-5 good substitution of players off the bench. Simple map to success!! Great job Leon & company.
