Okay I finished the episode. As for the rankings as a whole either we need to swap some guys out, or this was purely for engagement. If it's the latter, great job.
I heard you say Nick might have had a big hand in the rankings. Almost enough said. He's always been unnecessarily low on the Grizzlies so it makes sense. Especially after last season
It's not as if most people that do these rankings actually watch this team. Let alone, most people actually watching all of these games to get the actual feel for these teams. Most can't even watch the first half of the year because it's "boring". If the Grizz had a semi-rebuild year, hopefully it was last year with the lack of identity and this offense style they tried. The defense will have to improve drastically because that was most of what the team was battling against. That and turnovers.

Such rankings are meaningless and not worthy of our time and energy. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, and the more we're underestimated by the so-called experts, the easier it'll be for us to hit out of the left field come next season. Go Grizz!
The Locked On Top 100 is, to a large degree, a product of recency bias – the best players on teams that ended the '25 season at the top of the rankings, those who made All-NBA, best players on teams that got past the first round in the playoffs or, if the team was a first round exit, they made quite an impression/surprised the analysts by making a strong run at the end of the season (e.g., Detroit Pistons). Grizzlies are viewed as a team that has taken steps back, people seem to be lower on Ja than in the past as he has availability issues & don't truly believe he can/should be the best player on a truly contending team, & Jaren needs to prove himself in the playoffs. Also, to be fair, Ja wasn't lighting up OKC in that last playoff game in which he was injured. Scotty Pippen Jr. went off from 3… he hit like 7 3s and then he went cold in the 2nd half, and Jaren got triple teamed because, with no Ja on the floor and no other task scoring threats, they went after Jaren.
