Tyler Kolek was the 34th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Kolek started at George Mason University before transitioning to Marquette and was a 2x First-team All-Big East plus the Big East Player of the Year in 2023.

This could logjam incoming second-year guard Tyler Kolek behind the group of veteran ball handlers. Moving Kolek could afford the 24-year-old opportunity that he would not get in New York.
