Regardless of what the national media says, the Bucks have a solid squad! This squad will surpass everyone's expectations this coming season. This is the roster Giannis should of have had 3 years ago.
I don't agree with Jason about Jokic being on a tier of his own. But his argument is good in that he lays out a multi-layeres approach in how he analyses players.
Fellas I wish we dived into what he was saying more. For example, regarding late game stats – Jason is right about late game offens GA vs Jokic. But in regards to defense, Giannis stats are ungodly.
According to NBA official stats, his team had a defensive rating of 84, yes 84 in the clutch for a higher net ratin than Jokic in total: 22 (GA) to 20.9.(NK). Great show though. But man let's pull these numbers out!

giannis may not be the best at the clutch as an offensive player but he is the best at defense in the clutch .insane plays almost every time agains the rockets against atlanta etc

To be absolutely crystal clear: Jason is giving everybody OTHER than giannis a lower standard and closer goal post in these rankings.
Here is what Jason is not talking about: the impact 2 way play has on stats, the value of a player who is ELITE (you heard me) on both ends, the intangibles such as loose balls and clean up plays (name another superstar falling on the floor vs the wizards to secure the ball–jokers team lost to them… twice), the difficulty of scoring 30 on 60% as the most double teamed player in the league, the energy it takes to bring the ball up, be a primary dribbler and ball handler, run transition for the team, anchor a defense, take on your own man defense assignment and roam in help, clean up sloppy turnovers with chase down defense, playmake and facilitate on the run as the ball handler while being swarmed, without teammates running the set for him (in the Denver system, Murray brings the ball up, positions the team, gets the ball to joker who scans the floor and dishes the final pass. For the bucks, giannis is not a point guard but a supplemental facilitator who playmakes while handling the ball–like a guard–while dribbling, while moving and without anybody anywhere setting up his play. HE SETS THE PLAY)
Jason doesn't appreciate giannis. He doesn't watch bucks game in entirety. Hes unqualified to talk about player rankings because he's a western conference only "analyst" who is excessively biased.
