Talk Jalen Johnson, Dyson Daniels and Onyeka Okongwu to be in any consideration to get Jaylen back home. They are not getting him for anything less.
I think this team needs as many draft picks as possible considering our two superstars are coming off of career altering injuries/surgeries. Holding onto this for one too many seasons could this franchise seven years. Now you’re talking Kawhi Leonard, Paul, George clippers for five years, these guys don’t come out and look the same. Not to mention high draft picks help you compete in the short term
I don’t think that’s true at all. Players grow on losing teams all the time. I do think it would take an injury unfortunately for this team to get an extremely high draft pick but A lot of them haven’t gotten serious in the NBA. It might just take them time to click and develop. That doesn’t mean if they lose they’re not getting better as players. I know you want to win but you’re playing with $60 million less than every other team. Your star is injured. You can only expect so much.
Greenie is the first person. I’ve heard talk about the need to discover and sign cheap talent in the way I feel it needs to be talked about. I think waving JD was insane. that was a cheap third guard off the bench right there. I don’t think we need a $28 million point guard on top of Derek White and on top of Peyton Pritchard. That money should be allocated to other positions. JD would’ve been a fine 3rd option on a minimum and he was still young. No shade to Simon we don’t have it like that financially I think we need to have more patience with developing guys. We’re already talking about do we die for Jordan Walsh and he’s 21 and played atotal of 200 serious minutes last season.
And I agree if Walsh can knock down the three that would be massive. He has good touch around the rim and seems to be able to get there. Which will only get better as he gets reps. I’d like to see a little more defense from him, but we’ve seen spurts. he has the most potential. I think Baylor has the lowest ceiling because I’ve seen enough to know he’s a good shooter regardless of what just happened at summer league
To achieve what greeny wants from Walsh, he needs to put on 15 pounds of muscle. He needs to be able to play the four and defend 4s. I just haven’t seen the ability to do that. But if he can, that would help him.
