I wouldn’t say amazing defense when talking about Marshall. Yes that floater is lethal and is a good facilitator but his defense was very average and at times below average last year. I would rather have him than DJJ, I think Naji is the better player even though DJJ defense is extremely valuable. Dallas is going to need him to step up into that 6th man role and get that 3pt shot going if they want to contend. They need a guy like him.
The bench certainly is the most interesting question about this team other than health.
Theres alot of talent there but only so little playing time to begin with. I expect training camp/preseason is where we see surprises or an actual rotation being used.
Players on the bubble so to say is Hardy,B-Will, Caleb Martin, Exum, Christie.
Only locks are Flagg, Naji, and D-Lo(since he is a new signing).
Naji I should also add isn't a guarantee as he is expected to put in that work obviously with his 3pt shot needing improvement, but he pretty much is the top 6 man spot atm if Gafford/PJ is starting.
Oh and Powell is basically the shadow owner of this team ofcourse as we know he isn't going anywhere. 😂
Love Naji’s ability to play at whatever position needed and get that floater up.
