He isn't getting 4 years over $89 million, not happening
Toumani is definitely worth that money! He’s our best defender
the New owner will know. IMHO any move the Blazers make, Mr. Dumdon will have a say.
Let Shae hit RFA. He hasn't proven he's a cornerstone player for the franchise. With franchises more cautious with their spending with the second apron I don't imagine him getting more than Giddey.
Toumani worths every penny.
Sharpe? Try get a first for him
Fans love to play hardball with money they don't have any control over. "He's not worth that much dough!" I do agree that salaries have made the game mostly unaffordable to the average joe, but it is what it is. Toumani has proved his worth. Sharpe has shown flashes but not every game- and Shae knows that. Bringing in Jrue was partly insurance that Sharpe doesn't get a lot better. Go Blazers.
I would guess Blazers overpay Shae and give him $100M for 4 years, the offer should be the same $89M for 4 that they give Toumani
4/125 or 4/150 would be my guess. No way he takes less than that little mouse we just booted, no chance.
Charlie Kirk
I would like Shae signed as soon as possible for as long as possible. I understand the people saying wait, I just think he's gonna pop! Then again it's not my money.
5 years at 130.
I am still extremely bullish on Sharpe. He is already an elite of the elites as a finisher and from watching his shooting closely last season I have every reason to believe he can get his 3p% back up to LA or maybe even into the +. Frankly the current market landscape with respect to the "empty calorie" tweener skill guys a la Cam Thomas, Grimes, and Giddey could end up being a massive boon for our long term financial flexibility. If we can get away with him agreeing to a 3-4 year deal with 20-22M AAV because that's what the market thinks a player like that is worth right now and then he takes a leap (or several), we would have most of our most important young guys under team controlled cheap deals for at least a handful of seasons. By that point we will either know if we're good enough to be serious about the current roster or we can go out and take a swing on the next big star that becomes available.
