Duece is not that great and Robinson is a liability. HE CANT HIT A FREE THROW!!!!!!
Walker Kessler is always welcome, but this trade wouldn't be a good one cause Kevin Love is of no use to us and it's not worth it (nor does it make sense) to get rid of McBride just to make room for Shamet.
Trading Mitch for another center doesn't solve the backup problem at that position. Remember, Towns plays center, but he's not a center and isn't a good defender. Therefore, the ideal would be to add a reliable backup center to alternate with Mitch (so that Towns can play more as power forward).
Therefore, I would be willing to trade Deuce and Kolek – for example (and another pick if necessary) – to bring in Kessler, but we know Danny Ainge wouldn't accept it (cause he doesn't want to trade Kessler and doesn't like to deal with the Knicks). Furthermore, this trade would still give us room to sign Shamet (this would be a consequence, not the cause).
Walker Kesler would be great and he can run the floor and play faster than Mitchell Robinson Kesler fit the knicks like a glove
Hukporti was killing Kessler during Summer League. He is not better than Mitchell. Leon is over-thinking this situation. Love is done.
So I essentially understand what the front office plans. Instead of having to pay deuce and mitch, you now will only have to pay walker. My fear is trading deuce before allowing him to play in Mike Brown's system. I think deuce is about to thrive. And mitch can do what walker does, he is just injury prone. But if we keep mitch and let huk develop, huk could probably do these things too.
My 1 big question is, I've seen walker working on the 3, can walker become a 33% 3 point shooter?
The Duece Mcbride extension money is the missing piece to this. And is a reason to trade him when you look at the situation objectively.
As a Knicks fan, we cant expect him to continue to produce at this level on mini dollars. I can see the need and fit for trade (emotionally it hurts) but i understand

They didn’t like Kessler as a prospect as they passed on him like the passed on Jalen Williams and Jaden Duren in the draft. Besides, Kessler is no where near as good as Robinson. He’s younger yes but he does not have the same impact. Then you add a washed up Kevin Love it’s insulting. Leon isn’t that stupid. But maybe Leon is that stupid giving 5 picks for Bridges and resigning him putting us in a position to only sign vet minimum, two way and exhibit 10 @ 9 contracts. But, I digress. You don’t trade Deuce & Robinson for Kessler & Love. Can you trade Deuce? Yes because management has made him a redundant piece. In fact the Knicks are looking desperate to cover their signing blunders by signing all these bums and washed up players to camp deals. Hoping to find a hidden gem. We have to get younger as our core players will soon be approaching 30 and we end up like the Clippers with a bunch of mediocre vets

I would not trade Mitch but I’m open to trading McBride for a useful player or Draft capital. Deuce will need a new contract in the offseason the time to move on is now

Get Kessler, forget Love only if salary cap works long term. Kessler may work for the chip, but I don't want a rental and lose 2 players. Long term cap and player solution needed.
I would only trade Mitch in a trade with the Celtics for Payton Prichard and Luca Garza. And maybe add Deuce to make the money work.
