Spurs “Don’t Have Enough Minutes”
The San Antonio Spurs have a deep and talented young roster that will be led by De’Aaron Fox and Victor Wembanyama. Spurs are going to have a tough time finding minutes for everyone and may have a few players be traded or the odd man out.

You need to look at the players with the least ability to play multiple positions and also have less skills overall. Fox, and Vassel are 2 players with trade value that fit this description. We should treasure young, two way players who can play 2-3 positions. This would allow us to be most flexible when playing different type opposing lineups.
Which one is it guy?? lol you made multiple videos last year saying Spurs don’t have enough depth, Spurs biggest problem is we aren’t deep, we need vets, etc….. now it’s a problem to be so deep? lol slow for the offseason? lol
As the inventor of resting players. I believe depth will be just fine. Young, or not, they will still need rest
Fair points, but there will be injuries and rest throughout the season, and I'll be happy we have plenty of good players. Not worried in the slightest as far as depth goes.
Having so many players with so a talent will automatically generate some frustration. Up to the staff to manage this frustration…
Stefon Castle was starter at the end of the season because the Spurs were tanking. He finished ROY (and he should have been unanimous !!) but in one of the weakest draft class of the NBA history. He was -9% efficient compared to the NBA average and wouldn't have been ROY in a standard draft class.
What will be his improvement this season ? If he doesn't improve a lot his efficiency, it won't be the Spurs' interest to increase his playing time this season. He needs first to improve his catch&shoot percentages and his efficiency at the rim before to be used in a starting role. Training in the summer with the GuardWhisperer isn't a warranty that he will dramatically improve his beginning of season.
Harper is so talented that he would have been 1st pick in many drafts. He can legitimately be granted of 25 minutes per game.
As the second offensive option, I doubt that Fox won't play less than 32/33 minutes per game.
Vassell is (with Barnes) the best catch&shoot in the roster. You cannot decrease his minutes far below 30 minutes. I would say around 28 minutes.
=> you already have 85 minutes per game (closed to the 96 minutes for the backcourt [2 x 48 minutes]).
I then don't see Castle increasing his playing time if his catch&shoot doesn't improve !! surely around 25 minutes.
Except Fox, the three other players will have to get some playing time on the wing spot.
On the wing spot (SF), you need to give minutes to Barnes (who should see his playing time reducing), Champagnie (as a potential good 3&D, the Spurs should keep his playing time to continue developping him), Bryant (this season, we cannot expect more than 10 minutes) and Keldon.
Keldon's playing time has evolved from 33 minutes in 2023, 29 minutes in 2024 to 27 minutes in 2025. This season, there is a very high risk that it would decrease again and surely below 20 minutes.
The frontcourt is still a little bit weak with only 4 players (Wemby, Sochan, Olynyk and Kornet) for 2 spots with Barnes who can play some minutes as PF (but he would be better as a wing player).

Signing Fox was a mistake. I believe they jumped the gun with that move
People talk mostly about the guard position but having 3 guys for 2 positions ain’t that crazy.
To me it’s more the PF or SF that is a bit clogged. Vassel has to play like a starter because of his contract. Otherwise may be Julian should take his place may be. But you have Sochan, Barnes, Potentially Wemby (if Kornet is on the field), Bryant.
This is where it’s gonna be interesting
They need a true big to play with wby. Either put wemby in the 4or5 spot just put another big body next to him for rebounding amd is game over
