As a Mavs fan I’ll always miss Luka but AD and Cooper Flagg with this current Mavs roster is too good. Flagg could be 1997-1999 Duncan or 1998 (NFL Version) of Randy Moss. He could be the first rookie finals MVP since Magic in 1980. If he lives up to the hype!!!

Mavs just signed DSJ, so including Kyrie they now have 5 point guards, can’t imagine Flagg playing more than a few sets as the pg and will mostly do a bit of what we saw him do in Duke bringing the ball up.
Flagg is 18, he won’t be compared to Luka immediately or really any time soon.
Mavs are already predicted to be a fringe playoff team, and many Mavs fans would love to take advantage of possibly the last lottery pick they get until the 2030s so I don’t think it’s all of the rookie

I am a little bit curious to see slim Luka it’s going to be interesting because I believe that weight helped him be such a dominant physical guard, with that gone it will be very interesting to see if he ends up changing his play style a bit!(also if Luka can run and keep up with the rest of them the league better look out!)
