They are going to say that first of all because well it's Steph also they don't want to hurt the trade chances Kuminga is so athletic he can Swatt flies off a head of Giraffe but he can't pull a board he is not very good and frankly kind of sucks, so no one really cares he just needs to go. Personally I hope he signs the Q.O. and the Warriors nick name him street clothes sit him on the back bench not the front bench.
You are so wrong in your assumptions. Turner made his U.S. tour yesterday because he has played all his cards and has nothing left but to appeal to the public. There is no way JK walks away from $48 million guaranteed money. The Dubs will not budge off the team option in the 3rd year as it would lower his trade value when they move him at the trade deadline.

The player option, which Curry wasn't even offered BTW, allows Turner to negotiate an extra year with other teams for potentially $10-$15M more dollars, everything Turner says about JK needing to feel good, wanting to help Steph, help the team win, play in big games, work hard, he doesn't believe or care about; that player option is just an extra year for him to shop the biggest buyer. He's got a good client and he wants to turn him into a whale. He's doing his job well but isn't interested in helping the warriors anymore than it helps his client's value, and unfortunately he doesn't know what Kuminga needs to do to develop or encourage that, he'll just make excuses against what people are talking about.

I want JK to accept the offer just out of respect for the team and owner who met him personally. He will get all that chance sooner or later. He should not disrespect and decline these big boys who own the league.
If JK is/was that valuable to GSW, they would've closed this deal on day one of the trade season, 'if' being the operative word. JK is well aware that GSW's leadership collectively do not believe in him as being part of their future and he should just accept the offer, continue to learn from future HOF's, both players and coach – improved and get better then when it's time his value will through the roof. He's acting like he's already there even when his own team and the rest of the NBA says, nope, not just yet. Sign the contract already.
You have 4 older players on the team. They are going to need time off during the year and Kuminga will get his playing time. Also, he will get more playing time because he will be the first one off the bench most nights. He will help with the scoring when Curry is on the bench. All the drama has sounded like a husband and wife headed toward a nasty divorce, but Joe Lacob loves Kuminga, and if he gets more playing time it could end up working out in the end. I am a Kuinga fan, so I hope things work out. But I know that hardly anyone else believes things will work out.
