  1. I hate this situation soooo much, in particular for the veterans.

I just want more titles for Steph and a first one for Jimmy.

Just because it's Steph and because Jimmy has definitely deserved one over his whole career. 👍👏❤️❤️

  2. Mailbag: What do you think the chances are of Steph, LeBron or KD getting another ring? As they are all in the west, I'm really hoping we get to see them compete against each other in the playoffs. Steph vs KD's Rockets would be especially wild.

  3. The Warriors have mishandled the entire Jonathan Kuminga situation. Joe Lacob should have listened to his scouts and drafted Franz Wagner instead of Kuminga in the first place. Even after that mistake, they should have traded him for Pascal Siakam when they had the chance.

As for the Malik Monk deal, I wouldn’t take it right now. To make the trade work, the Warriors would have to move either Buddy Hield or Moses Moody. Trading Buddy would likely require attaching at least a second-round pick, and I still believe Moody is a playoff-caliber rotational player. His struggles last year were due in part to playing through a hand injury.

Another factor is that scoring guards just don’t carry much value around the league anymore. Norman Powell was dealt to the Heat for practically nothing, Cam Thomas was offered less than $15 million, and Monk’s own contract is widely viewed as a negative.

That’s why keeping Kuminga still makes sense. On a 1+1 deal with a team option, he’s arguably a positive asset (controversial, I know, but that’s my view). On a 2+1 with a team option, I’d consider him more of a neutral asset—but still preferable to Monk. The real question is whether Kuminga on a 2+1 is more valuable than Monk plus a protected first. That depends heavily on how protected the pick is.

Ideally, the Warriors get Kuminga locked into a 2+1 with a team option and then use him to match salaries, packaging him with first-round picks to acquire a true starting-level player.

  4. When JK plays 30+ minutes not only do the warriors have a winning record but JKs value proved he worth more than the sub $80 mil for 3 seasons. 20/6/2 on around 50fg% and 40% from 3. His usage rating goes down also so he’s not forcing shots when he knows he’s going to get good playing time and he also takes a Steph back in favor for curry and dray. They are 24-16 in the 40 games he played 30minutes or more. Steph or dray missed around 13 of those 40. Saying he needs to take a smaller role is idiotic. The only reason his trade return isn’t high is because Kerr underutilized him then at the end of last season he talked down about him. That’s on the coach and the FO not Jk. He’s still a high value asset but teams don’t have to offer too much to GS if Gs doesn’t value him. Idk why that’s so hard for these media heads to understand.
