  1. Sometimes, you have to stick with the guys you drafted. Is Ivey the Perfect fit next to Cade? No. But is Jalen Brown the perfect fit next to Jason Tatem? No! So, guys can make it work!!

  2. An influencial Pistons employee has been pushing the "Ivey is a bad fit" narrative. I suspect Ivey was going to be traded at the deadline last year, but the broken leg prevented the trade.

With a roster full of SGs and no other option at backup PG the Pistons have set the table for an Ivey trade at the deadline if he struggles as the backup PG.

  3. Given the current roster makeup, Ivey offers the most value amongst players the Pistons can move on from, so it makes sense to trade Ivey. That said, I'm a huge Ivey fan and wish he would be able to play for Detroit, but I'd rather see him moved so he can play without worrying about being traded. Jalen Brown has been playing under the same shadow of trade rumors for years. Its can't be a great feeling.

  4. The Pistons FO doesn't care if fans think these guys are PG's. They want to see what these guys can do with the ball in their hands.

  5. Pistons are not trading Ivey! Simple as that. If Ivey was not injured they beat the Knicks. If a trade has to be done I would trade Ausar well before Ivey
