The Dubs typically don't use the 15th roster spot early in the season. It is usually used after the trade deadline.

Let's be realistic, GP2, Seth, Santos would not have a contract in the NBA, and we are here talking about their playing time when the ultimate goal is winning the chip.
You called it, you are a romantic. You're also not being realistic. These additions dont help, and you're not going to get anything useful back in a trade of a combination of Seth, GP2, Buddy, JK…who wants that? Buddy and a pick doesn't get Walker Kessler. It doesn't get much of anything. We Dubs fans have to wake up. There is no path to improving this roster. Our hopes rest on the health of Melton and Al Horford. Not a good place to be.
Only reason GP2 will be back is because of Steve Kerr. It irks me he has a roster spot over Trey Lyles when Horford doesn't even play back to backs 🤬

Why not fill the bench with A+ shooters? Adding another Curry makes perfect sense given we have several core guys who very notably do not stretch the floor. That and maybe we get some extra Curry magic this season.

Maybe its just me, but I dont see much value in signing Seth. Imo you cant fix shooting problems by adding marginal players that might not play, you need to add shooting at the actual postions of need, with players that will be in the rotation. Specialists are pretty much out of the league nowadays..
Like you said, they dont need more SGs, and I wouldnt want him over anyone they already have / are going to sign, and he doesnt have any trade value. So in a consolidation trade scenario, I wouldnt want him to be one of the guards that stay, and trading him gets you nothing. So other than good vibes, Idk how this helps lol
