OKC’s margin for error during the regular season is much wider because of their depth. They can still win games even though Chet was out with injury for most of the season. Which will give the illusion that they are the best team in the league. But in the playoffs, the further you go, the less that depth matters and the more the top-end talent matters. OKC barely defeated Denver in 7 games because of that depth, even though Denver had the best player on the court. But now Denver has top-end talent AND depth. If OKC and Denver match up in the 2nd round again, it ain’t going to 7 games.
OKC was just 5 wins shy of Golden State's record season and they WON the title, ousting Nuggs in the second round. They have best constructed roster heading into second apron with MVP/top scorer in Shai, All NBA player in Williams, an All Defense player in Dort, 6th man finalist in Caruso, X-factor in Chet. This could easily be the next dynasty (like the Celtics before the injuries). I think having Jamal Murray as a No. 2 holds the Nuggets back.
I’m just not compelled enough when he talks about the Nuggets
