Why resign Davis?
As much as I like Doug Christie, this team is not a contender. I am excited though for the season to start. I’ll be astonished if this kings team gets into the play in tournament to get into the playoffs
So we need Keegan to make Derozan, Lavine, and Sabonis work by taking more shots away from them?
This begs the question why do we want Derozan and Lavine if they’re not shooting a lot. They bring not much else.
The answer is if one isn’t traded, one of Derozan or Lavine needs to come off the bench. Doug needs to do his job which is winning games not babysitting stars.
The Kings have 6 shooting guards. DeRozan at small forward is just playing a 3 guard line up every night.
He was handed Lavine his bad contract and his 31.87 career winning percentage. It's going to take some time to clean up the stench of the previous GM, but as long as the Bulls West line up is here they will be lucky to win 30. Now I do agree Keegan should be the DUDE to see if he has it in him
Dennis schroeder is a great player and great point guard. Hes a great player in a right situation for a great coach. Not every team has great situations or even adaquate coaches. He needs consistency and a well defined role. He will go as far as Doug Christie can take him.
