This year, the Grizzlies will take the court in classic 2001-02 black uniforms, a bold throwback to the team’s first season in the Bluff City.
When the Grizzlies arrived in Memphis in 2001, they brought the Vancouver alternate uniform with them and quickly made it their own by replacing the chest logo with a sleek wordmark and adding bold, asymmetrical trim in red, turquoise and white. With this, an identity for the new Grizzlies era arrived.
