From Utah they are saying that Walker Kessler is looking for 30M a year and Utah is looking like 20M a year but nothing more than that. Honeslty, I'm with Utah on this one. Walker Kessler is good but he cant do ANYTHING on offense besides score at the rim. Can't shoot at all, has no ofensive game and he always needs other player to set him up to score.
Look at Myles Turner, he got 4 year 107M and he also can get 2 BPG while being able to space the floor, shoot from the mid range and has an offensive game. Kessler is good, but he isn't worth 30M. Lakers could pay 25M a year. 4 year 100M but nothing more than that. Don't overpay for something like that.
I wouldn’t consider this trade. Walker Kessler is goated but not worth the headache they’re asking for
we can probably do a three team trade, utah take our expiring contracts & dalton and a first while utah sends kessler and a first and the lakers receive wiggins

Kessler is a 20-25M a year player rn. He simply has an insanely limited offensive bag. He would have to have a DPOY level season to be worth 30+
The appeal of Kessler other than skill was the rookie salary. If he’s not on that it’s a different conversation completely, this one is for next season.
