Marcus Smart is going to be the second ball handler…? One of the absolute worst things JJ could do is to not make Bron the second ball handler. What is this man doing? He did this last year and screwed the Lakers. He gave Reaves second ball handler duties and how did that pan out in the playoffs. JJ has been a decent coach. But people are treating this man like he is some amazing coach after one year and we got bounced in the first round. I've never seen this type of d riding in my life. He did well but also made many mistakes in the playoffs. Mistakes that I doubr he is going to correct because his ego is so inflated.
As A life long Laker fan, I think the Lakers should bring Reeves off the bench. Start Smart, for his defense, and leave Rui in the starting line up. Reeves will star as the shooting guard or point guard on the second unit. He can still close games, but NBA players have huge egos. It is like a demotion , playing as a reserve. I think Reeves would accept it, however with that said, remember it is contract year, and him coming off the bench, could cost him some money. Not sure how he would settle for that, although he is team player.. Not a big fan of Vanderbilt, he bobbles easy passes and misses easy shots. Tui is muc motr rounded, and Luka needs effiecent wings.
The Marcus Smart pickup is reminding me a lot of the Avery Bradley pick up in 2020. If healthy, we will a chance. I hope Kleber can stay healthy too!
