I wouldn't have said better… The Spurs need a playoff run with this roster to evaluate who is performing in a stressed situation and who isn't.
This season the western conference is a real jungle and will be a sprint of 82 games to manage to reach directly the playoffs. Some teams have very old roster, very weak bench and could experiment some important injuries. In that case, the playoffs could be jeorpardized for some teams.
The Rockets just lost their only valuable PG. If they were projected high in the conference, they will now need to fight to get one of 6 first places. They could also ask more to Durant on the creation and Durant is also subject to be injured. The Warriors have their three best players over 35 years old and their main addition in the roster will be Al Horford, 41 years old. The quality of the bench isn't the contender's one. Curry will need to play a lot to reach one of the 6 first places and could suffer some recurrent injuries. The Wolves's roster didn't improve this summer (on the contrary, they lose Alexander-Walker). Before the start of the Wemby's statistics decline beginning of january, the Spurs and Minnesota were very closed to each other. Memphis lose their third best player with Bane and Morant's presence is always questionnable… The Lakers' bench is very very weak. Out of the starting 5, all other players cannot bring positive minutes in playoff. Despite being a superhuman, James will be 41 years old. We have seen in playoff this season that he couldn't maintain a high basketball level in Q4. A several month injury in the starting 5 would be catastrophic for them.
All these teams which are projected higher than the Spurs for the bookmakers are all subject to go down to the playin in case of a major injury. If Wemby is stepping up and is reaching the nba top5, we could be surprised by the Spurs' results.
WOW this video is very anti jazz.. not that I don't agree in some points. I hate these and the walker kessler trades that the content creators are using to make content for. as a life long jazz fan.. when the jazz signed LM the overpay was for him waiting through the years for the team to get good again. the understaned from what I have gathereed is that LM is vied as a start that will age will since he's more of a shoote. and Honestly there is no players that would be tradable on the spurs I would want on the jazz. so both teams just need to do their thing. . yea get a high pick and spurs continue to develop as well. and in a year ot two it will be good. . LM will still be in his prime. the jazz shoul dhave a couple more good high picks and all SA will contineu to develope and plan the market for ideal fits and life will be good we just need content about LM and kessler and trades involving them to stop also walker kessler content is stupid.. he's not signing the extention because of salary cap next year.. anything over 14.9 mil will cut into the cap and if he gets an offer the jazz can match there is no reson to rush it.. they more than likely plan on paying him well just need to hold the hand and see what they can do in free agency content creators are just trying to get views and talk nonsense
