The Play That Drives Steph Curry Crazy: And Kuminga Keeps Doing It
Jonathan Kuminga’s future in Golden State is in doubt and film don’t lie.
Coach Nick breaks down possession after possession where Kuminga kills the Warriors’ motion offense: over-dribbling, isolating, and settling for contested mid-range jumpers instead of working with Steph Curry’s gravity. From ignored “automatic” actions to efficiency numbers that rank near the bottom of the league, this video explains why Steve Kerr struggles to give Kuminga consistent minutes—and why the front office hasn’t locked him up long term.

finally someone made this
Good observation
This is also why no one wants to pay Cam Thomas cuz he does the exact same BS
Lol, I have no idea why everyone thinks this guy knows anything and has anything to reveal to you. He’s trying to decipher behavior and interpret mood here, it’s not even about the basketball
Yes the warriors need to get rid of him, because he is selfish, and he won't play warriors team basketball. Hurry up and ditch him it won't hurt warriors fans if they realize what he's doing.
These players coming from Ignite should just go back to college
He fits fine he is an all star right now every player makes mistakes how many dumb plays does Jimmy make but media never covers it. Kerr blew the chance to get Steph another title if they don’t keep him. I could find 150 games on YouTube where Kuminga played incredible or even dominated the best wings in the league. He might take bad shots occasionally but not nearly as much as Wiggins. Kuminga is all star all defense right now if he plays 30 min every game. Go watch his games against thunder celtics suns and he has absolutely dominated against Durant Brown Tatum and thunder. He made t wolves look like children who couldn’t guard him and even then he still only played 30 min if you rewatch the t wolves series they could have won without Steph but Kerr took Kuminga out at key moments and they lost the lead and lost the game
moody is more fit than him. he should hone his craft like kobe did those midrange is deadly if he master it, also like shaun livingston
4:17 I think the part that you're missing about the confusion is that Kuminga doesn't know what to do! He clearly is comfused by how the play is unfolding. I think it's been pretty clear the front office want kuminga as their young star for the future, so it seems as if they wanted to be hands off to allow his game to develop, but they aren't trying to integrate him into the system. The coaching staff and the front office are clearly at odds here and it's only making him look bad. He's not meant to be a role player but that seems to be the only spot for him
If they don’t like him, let him go! Why holding on him for years?
Coach you wrong wrong wrong
Shocking
Great analysis!! You’re spot on. I wish JK well. It’s a shame we couldn’t make it work. Plenty of blame to go around, but it’s time to move on!
Hes missing really easy reads. Hes a pro making some big mistakes when you really break it down.
Low IQ selfish player
He is way too eager to have some playing time. He shots like that because he wants to pads his points and make him a consistent 20 ppg. Wariors is a system and he is dumb enough to not play like a team
He thinks he is Kobe
Hes a solid player but makig these types of mistakes with a player like Curry on the court is kinda crazy
As a Dubs fan, this ridiculous saga must end! We’re wasting the last years of Steph’s Prime! 💙 💛
You know that suns game you talking about him going at KD was one of his best games right
Been saying this repeatedly. JK is not a dumb person but he has very low basketball IQ. He can only play one way which is downhill with his mind already made up to score. Regardless of his athleticism he can’t make plays with the ball in his hands and is an average at best on ball defender. Not to mention a broke jumper and not a good rebounder for his size. He can’t play within a system so he should go to a team like the Wizards so he can score all the points he wants.
Kuminga sucks…. Wish the warriors would just trade his bum ass away so people stop talking about him forever
Im sure if this is lebron people will say he is a bad teammate he dont help others to improve but since its steph its kumingas fault
