  1. I feel two different ways here.

On one hand I don't wanna complain about the officials because at the end of the day(and I watched every minute of that game)… Minnesota couldn't throw a rock in the f**kin ocean standing on a deck! So the fact that they couldn't make shots In the 4th is what really lost them the game. So stop crying, this is playoff f**kin basketball! This sets a bad example to open things up for these delusional Fever fans blaming Refs for 25 point losses…

But on the other hand, on the said Napheesa Collier play, I DO think that was a loose ball foul and the refs this game actually was on some weird sh*t. They gave techs for trash talk and then let plays where people got hit go.

I love physicality in basketball, but we need the calls (OR NO CALLS) to be consistent across the board. I don't mind letting a little bit of choving and tight defense go, but don't get weird and lay down the law at weird times then go back to swallowing whistles, just be consistent and don't go overboard with punishing trash talk if you know you gonna let em play anyway.

  2. That game had some atrocious calls. 75% of it was against the mercury. She’s just pissed at the timing of the ones that affected them most

  3. I've watched the NBA for over 40 years. In watching the WNBA for three years, and comparing the officiating… I think Reeves, on a general basis, is right about the ridiculously poor abilities of the officials in the WNBA. It's atrocious. Some key player(s) are gonna have their careers shortened by this standard of officiating. Might take a lawsuit for gross negligence and a huge settlement, to make them do something. Right now, they just be content being short-sighted and soaking up the attention for the league being a cross between basketball and roller-derby. I'm a Fever fan but I really hope Napheesa is gonna be ok. I love to see a coach respect her player enough to do what she did. To the leadership of the WNBA… when it comes to officiating… you get what you pay for.

  4. You know I didn’t hear her complaining about her girls assaulting Caitlin Clark ! But she is right the referees were told by management to let teams play rough to draw fans well then No Caitlin No Watch no fans no ratings !

  5. I can't understand why the league is like this…people love college women 's bb because of the skills, the fundamentals, the team play…they have ruined this pro game the same way they have ruined it on the men's side.

  6. GREAT NO CALL REFS , N . COLLIER ROLLED ON HER LEFT ANKLE B4 THE CONTACT , SHE ALSO GOT PICKED CLEANLY , BAD ATTITUDE COACH REEVES… I PRAY THAT ( N . COLLIER ) WILL BE OKAY 2 PLAY THE NEXT GAME ON SUNDAY 9 – 28 – 25

  7. I can only speak to the play that was in front of us, and it was clean and incidental. Also, there’s no way she has a fracture based on that contact.

  8. Jason Whitlock made a great point a while ago. He said what Caitlan Clark did was to focus a lot of eyes on the WNBA for the first time, and many newcomers don't like what they see. I'm one of the newcomers who doesn't like what I'm seeing.

  9. Have no time to listen to her or Becky Hammon. This type of stuff has gone on for who long? Now you have an issue when it happens to your teams. Just shut up.

  10. The violence toward Clark – who doesn't fit the WNBA profile of a leader and spokesperson – has backfired. Teams and players realize they can gain an edge by injuring opponents without consequences. League should be investigated as a hate organization and sued by victims.

  11. 6 of the fever players have season ending injuries. Tell me cheryl reeves isnt wrong. Every ref needs fired and from what I saw as nephessa was running from behind thomas thomas looks to extend her leg out and tripped nephessa. All I see is a dirty play. Thomas is a notorious dirty player.

  12. The officiating that forced Caitlin Clark, the marquee player of the league, to miss the season is showing you the league is not serious about basketball. If I want to see that level of contact, I'll watch hockey or the NFL.

  13. Agree with her on the overall officiating, Phee getting 0 free throws is wild af, but that last play with AT was a clean steal + incidental contact.

  14. Both Leagues call the games differently in the playoffs. They do want the physicality but the players play differently in the playoffs too. It has been this way for decades. If you are looking for a consistent, reliable experience, sports are not for you.
