  1. Ayton is a Serviceable Big with above average talent at the position……He is what he is….he's not gonna come here and all of a sudden be AD or Shaq….But If he can be close to Gasol ……Running the floor Scoring around the rim…Decent to good defense that should be enough to get us close to where we wanna be…..The Key to me is our Wing defense And shooting….VERY optimistic this Season Will be A good one for us…then after that let Bron & Luka take over the game🌴🏆👑

  2. Don’t put pressure on him. He’s struggled because people expected him to play as a #1 pick. If we get at least 16/10 from him, it’s going to make the team so much better. If everyone is expecting 20/12 and he gives you 16/10, it’s a disappointment. That’s when you see a player quit on a team….when he’s giving you decent production and everyone is still bitching about how much better he SHOULD be.

Let him be what he is. He’ll be happier and the chances are he’ll get better plus maybe want to stay.

  3. He was the #1 pick. Already has an offensive repertoire. Defense is about effort. Playing with Luka will easily motivate him 😊

  4. DeAndre Aton should try to make the all defensive third team at least shooting for a second or first

  5. Everyone including this channel bash Ayton as he ain't the guy Claxton is but forgot this is the guy that beat AD and Lebron in the Conference Finals 😅

  6. Guys, I'm starting a committee to stop lane from bombarding us with gambling ads. He knows damn well how evil they are, and he's a family man and STILL doing them. We need to stop this. He is selling out. And on top of that, does a video if the wind blows and doesn't Read superchats . I've payed for yrs now and he just won't read them. I've had enough. Won't be returning and i think you all should do the same. This is a family man, who supports the evil gambling trend. Seems he has 0 morals anymore.

  7. His favorite shot is a midrange jumper. He's 7 feet tall. You don't get fouled a lot when you're 7 feet shooting mid range jumpers. He also won't get a lot of rebounds on the offensive glass either. If they want to defensive presence or someone looking to draw fouls, this ain't the guy.

  8. That dude plays no defense. He is too slow to play with LeBron and the base the Lakers play.

  9. I've been away for the last 18 months in Australia.

How the hell do the Lakers now have DeAndre Ayton, Luka Doncic, Jake Laravia and Marcus Smart and but only lost AD and Max Christie ?????????????????

  10. If your expecting him to have a high motor all of sudden, your going yo be let down. He is a low motor guy and that is ok.

  11. Literally, every team he's played for has said the same thing. Not even halfway through, the season they are fustrated with him and benching him with DNP's. Lakers pick up garbage left out on the curb and wanna pretend it's gold.

  12. 9:35 it’s crazy that Javale McGee is a superstar in Australia and can’t get on the floor in the NBA. It just goes to show you the difference in the level of competition.

  13. Ayton need to play hungry like mcgee and defense like dwight howard.i want laravia to be a danny green archi type player like 2020 lakers. marcus smart like bradley lockdown defense

  14. We just have to hope he doesn’t pull a Dwight. Dwight thought he needed to be the focal point, but naw bro, play your ROLE. But he didn’t like that and checked out. If ayton believes he should be getting the lob rather than a step back contested Luka trey, I don’t want ayton checking out. To me, from everything I’ve seen and heard he’s mentally fragile.

  15. Blocking shots isn't the only facet of defense. Ayton is an elite post defender, which is more important in the playoffs against the centers in the West. He is also a good perimeter player and doesn't get played off the floor when teams go small.

  16. Hopefully, Ayton doesn't commit the same mysterious fouls that Hayes committed last season.

  17. I hope we dont play any teams with the skills of teams in Austrailia. Those tough teams in Australia.

  18. Ayton is nowhere close to AD in playing level – and no one can convince me otherwise.

To make things worse, his attitude is the main problem. He can just turn hot and cold without notice – and that no one can do anything about it.

The ‘praise’ is more feeding his ego seriously. Get over it.

  19. He's a mobile big who won't get played off the floor because he can keep up on the perimeter with switching. Check the defense numbers when he was with the Suns. He's that good. He was in a rebuild situation at Portland and they didn't play him. Trust me its going to be a big difference compared to playing with Hayes. Playing with Reaves, Bron and Luka will do wonders for him. Only thing that he lacked is motivation. At times he just cruises through the game. I'm sure being in a winning situation will be different.

  20. Got rid of A.D brong in DeAndre ayton to replace Anthony Davis at center I have to see the progress to believe it because I just don't believe that he can be better than Anthony Davis but if the Lakers start out well early in the season I could do nothing but salute the decisions that the organization has made over the summer but I just have to see it with my own eyes first 🤔💡😳💯👍

  21. Woooooooooooow.

It sounds like the Lakers are really great this year.

I’m **SURE** we won’t have another washout season with a tsunami of excuses, promises, and spin like the last five seasons. 👍

  22. He was very effective playing the P n R with CP3, imagine what he can do with Luka. And just his presence in the paint is all we will need, take up that space and move those feet. Don’t expect him to become this ELITE defender over night, but just ask him to have good mobility and make his presence known

  23. Dude has no INTERNAL motor. His drive comes from outside motivation from teammates (CP3 w/Suns), and that never lasts long. He does not handle expectations well at all either. Get used to being disappointed by that guy.

  24. im a celtics fan but any team with Luca I want to win it all ! If the lakers keep playing and treating austin reeves like a star they are done he literally stinks

  25. JJ Redick should really just pressure Ayton on defense. Like what JJ Redick said "Don't tell me, show me"

    Ayton needs to get better

  26. Aston has the right skills to be a future star in Lakers basketball history….im optimistic about his potential.

  27. He was 14/9 on Portland while being completely disengaged and disinterested. 20/12 from him is not a giant leap. If he averages that or hovers around it, it's a MASSIVE improvement over last season.

He's covertly a huge signing this off-season. Stoked to watch him redeem himself. Would love to see his defense shore up and improve on patrolling the paint.
