I agree 100%. I just think with Luka on the team Austin is worth more to another team. And there is a chance Lakers lose him for nothing.
Udoka always looks for players that are capable to defend. Reaves is a weak defender. Reaves is not going to the Rockets. And, come one, Jabari Smith Jr would never be included in an Austin Reaves deal. SmithJr just got extended and is under contract for SIX more years, at 13% of the cap [great value for a solid starter]. Super versatile and impactful on both ends, 6'11'' forward or center that can post up, drain threes or attack with a mid range jumper. Smith Jr is key piece for the Rockets long term plans. So no, the Rockets are not giving that away for 1yr of a defensive liability.
