Portland Trail Blazers 2025-26 Season Preview & Predictions
The Portland Trail Blazers head into the 2025-26 season with a roster caught between development and competitiveness. Damian Lillard is back in Portland on a new deal — though sidelined with an Achilles tear — serving as a mentor to Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe. Jrue Holiday arrives to stabilize the backcourt, while Donovan Clingan and rookie Yang Hansen headline a deep big-man rotation.
Last year, the Blazers finished 36-46, missing the playoffs but showing late-season promise behind Clingan’s emergence and flashes from Henderson and Sharpe. This summer, the front office pivoted: Anfernee Simons was moved, Lillard returned as a culture piece, and Holiday brings defensive leadership. With Scoot injured to start the year, Sharpe and Holiday will be leaned on heavily.
Strengths: Defensive core with Holiday, Thybulle, and Clingan; promising young talent; veteran leadership from Lillard and Grant.
Weaknesses: Injuries to Lillard and Henderson, shaky offensive creation, and a crowded big-man rotation.
Prediction: 36-46 again. Best case: a .500 record and play-in spot if Henderson returns strong. Worst case: lottery bound if injuries pile up.
Can Portland’s mix of youth and veterans push them into the West’s play-in race, or will this season prove to be another step in a longer rebuild? Drop your thoughts below and don’t forget to like & subscribe for more NBA previews.

This is the best blazers team in the 2000’s
The Yangsta should make this team more fun to watch…
