What Does Fred VanVleets Injury Mean for the Houston Rockets Title Contention?

The NBA season, let alone preseason has not started off yet and we already have some news that is shaking up the possible playoff picture. More specifically switching up what we expected to be a western conference finals contender. As some of you may know, Sham announced last week tuesday that unfortunately Fred VanVleet has torn his ACL. This is expected to be a season ending injury and from looking at the rockets depth chart. This is the worst injury they could have expected as they are already quited short handed when it comes to guards. At the moment there has not been much news on the rockets looking to acquire anyone. However, we expect to hear some news in the coming days. As for now the only active point guards on the team are Reed Sheppard, Aaron Holiday and Nate Mills. In this video we discuss possible free agent targets for the houston Rockets, Russell Westbrook, Jalen Hood Schifino and Markelle Fults. As well as possible trade targets in Jrue Holiday, Scottie Pippen Jr and Andrew Nembhard. To conclude we discuss the overall effect of losing Fred VanVleet and what to expect from the Rockets this year.
