    Ztay, MPJ never really showed on the court that he wanted to do his own thing (maybe other players knew tho) but the main thing with him is his basketball IQ. He’s a tremendous shooter, and a natural in a lot of ways, but he NEVER figured out how to play consistent defense, even just staying within the scheme. 3-4 dunks because he missed rotations, help, etc. every game. On offense, he was limited by his back…I dare you to find film on him setting a screen. He couldn’t. He also was very guardable by the better defenders in the league. He got shut down in the playoffs more than once, even in the championship year. Cam, on the other hand, doesn’t have the top end ceiling of MPJ, but he CAN set screens, better on handoffs, better on PnR, just about every phase. AND, he can play a little defense. At least he can play within a scheme without losing the plot. So, a BIG improvement, imo. Now that MPJ’s been released into the wild at NYC, we’re all seeing for the first time his true personality. Very interesting, lol.

    I had to come back to say this, but I'm SO much higher on this bench than that 2023 bench. I think because of how dominant the post season was, people forget how bad the bench was in the regular season. It took us like 40 games to figure out a combination on the bench that didn't get bullied, and that only lasted like 10 games because of injury set backs. This year I think we could easily have a top 15 bench itl, being quite conservative, which is exciting. If we manage to have a bench net rating similar to 2021 (something around -1) we're going to destroy teams once everything clicks

    MPJ played through the pain because they needed capable bodies on the floor and yes he shouldn’t have been out there. MPJ needs the time to heal and his talent will shine. We know how good a healthy MPJ is.

    the thing about bruce id the fact that what makes him good is hr knows his role and understands great players with jokic hell do just fine he wont be a guy creating iff the dribble or running your offense just playing off of jokic

    i disagree on the cam johnson take he will prob take even more shots hes shooting a higher volume of 3s and now that jokic will get him his looks dont be surprised if he shoots 50/42/86 while getting to the freethrow line way more often and being better there then mpj plus 1 on 1 hes better and his basketball iq is so much higher

    I think pretty same on MPJ….it's really difficult to explain. On One Side those Injuries(the shoulder plus old Back Issue) definitely limited him, but on the other Side, the Talent who is so gifted like him, simply has to do more… Some pretty weird lack of Motivation, yeah, sometimes even border-BenSimons syndrome, like he had no Will to live..? He just didn't have that competing Dog in him enough, I dunno how better to define that.🤔🤨

    A lot of people are not mentioning some some some some some sneaky weapons that I think are going to surprise people and even Cameron Johnson made it clear he said watch out for Curtis Jones he's one of the young guys they sign they said he's a he's a sniper he can shoot and he said he's actually a fairly good Defender too probably better than average Defender he's a tall guy too and Kessler Edwards Kessler Edwards that they signed he played for a couple other teams including dallas, I watched some highlights of Kessler edwards, that guy is a Lockdown Defender is a young guy with a lot of energy, and his handsy, and he's very good Defender Lockdown Defender Kessler Edwards he thrives on defense that's where he thrives but he's actually a fairly good shooter he's a steady, Kessler's not a deadly shooter but he is a steady shooter he can hit the steady shot but he thrives on defense he's a very good Lockdown Defender and likes to get away on breaking dunks so when you add Kessler Edwards and Curtis Jones one can is a sniper the other one's a steady shooter but one is a Lockdown Defender and the other ones are better than average Defender and you add it to the other five guys they added that's amazing

    Well the year that they won the championship they did have a good bench on the 2023 know they had an excellent bench they were deep and now they're just as deep right now with the new edition they got which is really seven new guys there as deep as OKC believe it or not oh yes because they already had some other guys on the bench and they're going to be just as good and the year they won the championship they had a very good bench last year they did not have a very good bench and in 2024 they were okay but 2023 they had an excellent bench and now they're back to that level again maybe even better
