They are leaning into balance. They will never be too good at anything but they will never be too bad at anything either.
That is good enough to beat most teams since the Knicks have so much depth.
The only problem with the Knicks is they will probably need luck in regards to opponent.
OKC has the same dynamic but younger and with a higher ceiling and actual defensive super power.
Rockets may also have that defensive super power.
Not too many teams with a super power that should make the Knicks be afraid. Also, those teams with super powers are in the West and will beat each other up before the Knicks have to see them.
If Mitch really is working on his free throws like we've heard and if he has any significant improvement then Mitch is actually a great offensive player for us. He's one of the best offensive rebounders in the league and if he can hit his free throws then he can pretty much camp in the paint and KAT can pull at least one of their bigs to the 3pt line… giving the Knicks a ton of 2nd and 3rd opportunities on the offensive end.

That’s balance actually, you don’t need all offensive or all defensive. Js
If it doesn’t work after if it doesn’t work out if for a couple weeks spring clocks in
Don’t forget your not gonna maximize offense with heart starting either or Clarkson on Defense
Yabusele at the four maybe he’s alil of both

I still say the Knicks should go after Malik Monk.
