Hopefully DFS is back by Thanksgiving! They should be able to make necessary adjustments during he and Vanvleet’s absence. They’ll probably make a move by the Dec. 15 trading deadline!

I love when teams get discounts or get players they normally wouldn't be able to in a trade or the cap space etc… when that player is injury prone, older, has had injuries, etc… and then the new teams fans scream about what if's when that players obvious issues just happen again and refuse to acknowledge you literally got this guy, for what you got him for, BECAUSE OF THESE ISSUES BEING VERY LIKELY!!

LOL rockets fans love to ignore that Senguns final yr is a player option, and call his deal some insanely awesome deal and insane work from Stone. You literally HAVE TO GIVE MONEY BACK to get year control with player options. That is part of literal negotiations. He is on a 4 yr guaranteed deal, not 5. The rockets and any fans with a brain would MUCH RATHER have him locked down for 5 years, before becoming a completely UNRESTRCITED FREE AGENT able to go anywhere he wants, and anyone who can do basic math and has a brain knows you want him locked in at that 5th year versus now being able to start a new deal at 30-35% of the entire cap, all a year earlier than he would have been able to and what actually replaces that 5th yr that you idiots are acting like hes gonna get paid 39M for lol

Injuries are truly devastating. But the Rockets' roster is so deep that they'll likely win 50+ instead of 60+. But I have a feeling this will be Alperen's year.
I am more concerned about guard defense and turnovers. I was also waiting for FVV to increase his efficiency with a reduced role. That’s hinting at a 48 win team unless we have a leap from young players.
Even if DFS is not available yet still not worried as we got Smith / Eason / Durant / Amen / Tate.
Doubt they ever run a double big lineup to start the game. It just limits the team w/o FVV. Need more shooting on the floor with Amen on the court.

Better it to have these injuries early then late. We still have enough.
With double big zone, KD needs to stay in the corner. You cant have him guard the perimeter in the zone. You need two of Amen-Reed-Tari-DFS. Out of these I think Amen and DFS is the best because of DFS's shooting. Second best is Amen and Tari. I dont know how Reed is gonna be guarding the perimeter in the zone defense. Perhaps Bari can guard the perimeter in a lineup with KD but not too sure about that.

If Tari isn’t playing back to back this season there is no reason to believe he will ever be able to. That will definitely be an issue in contract negotiations because Tari likely believes he’s capable of playing back to back and the Rockets don’t.
