4:00 – I see this way more in favor of Ja'Kobe, and a way to throw off the media, and the rest of the league (for now anyway).
He's like the Wildcard player. So, They want to stress test him as a "lead guy", with the 3rd group (Lawson is like the pressure release if something goes wrong). Give him those more intense on-ball reps.
It's like the same way they stress tested Scottie last season, but in more controlled environment.
look at this way,
-The starters are figuring out their chemistry, but they are a high level.
-The 2nd unit has a lot of cohesion, plus Mamu's new spacing.
When Ja'kobe plays with the 2nd unit (For Gradey) he's blending in, tilting more offense.
Then when he joins the 1st unit (for RJ), he's connective on offence, and defending the lead ball handler, giving IQ some breathing room on denfece.
We are really developing him infront of everyone, and they don't even see it, it's perfect.
It’s a shame, we legit have 12 players that should be getting minutes. That’s why I believe RJ will get traded. Which sucks, he’s an awesome guy and obviously from Toronto. BuT if you have jakobe Walter not even playing then that’s wild. We are to deep
This team will be mainly shooting 2s and free throws, while opponents will be draining 3s.

The offense is obviously going to have both RJ and BI handling the ball and using their playmaking to find off ball scoring for IQ and Barnes. RJ at the 2 is a walking miss match, BI at the 4 spreads the offense and brings speed in transition. Could be a scary team.
There will be stretches where guys are hurt or the staff is just looking at different guys. Some stints in the G League and on big squad. Its always a long season but the line up looks the way it does to little surprise. Walter is certainly coming for that back up 2 spot but a lot can change between now and March. Got to love some internal competition, these guys never stop getting better.. thats why we always aim for high character guys and not the Diva's

I’m with you Ben.. RJ has been unlocked by Toronto and the staff … it crazy to listen to ppl judge RJs game.. his ceiling is unknown and he will prove everyone wrong. 🦖
