ESPN SLAMS Minnesota Timberwolves’ Offseason | Claims of Roster Value Decrease are MISLEADING
The ESPN claim that the Minnesota Timberwolves roster lost significant value is misleading at best. Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) explains why the Wolves’ roster is not likely to be significantly worse, plus what the Wolves are doing to help their transition offense — regardless of whether Rudy Gobert is on the floor or not. Also, Mike Conley is ready to have a better start to the season and contribute to the Wolves’ continuing offensive growth and improvement.

Thanks for being a real ball knower! WOLVES WINNING IT ALL
People still watch ESPN? Unless it’s a basketball game, what else are they showing? Sounds weird. Maybe an old AF person without anything to really do in life could sit and watch that dinosaur stuff
Ben again we play the nuggets
Wolves biggest problem is the aging and declining of Gobert and Conley. They always overplay Conley to where he has little to nothing left come playoffs. Rudy get exposed depending on who you play and in what round. Not going to go 4 rounds without teams exposing Gobert and or Conley to the point you lose the series.
The idea of Gobert for 3 more seasons is a bad one. The NBA is the only place where money doesn't matter and they rationalize massively overpaying players and get little in return on their investments. They think its the norm to pay people 20-30 mill to be completely washed up and occupy roster spots. Gobert was eaten alive by inferior big men 2 years ago in the playoffs. Guess what Lively said he grew 2 inches in the offseason and is now 7 foot 3. Thats going to be an even worse matchup now. Rudy has gotten too much credit for being tall over the years. Ant is improving but the Center and the point guard are declining at a faster rate. Between Gobert and Conley they add up to maybe a player. Both are going to score 10 or less far more than they are going to score in double digits. How many teams start 2 players who average closer to 10 points a game? They dont give you enough production often times to justify playing both of them. Hopefully Rob is awesome but I doubt they play him enough.
The espn list is trash. They only get in the conversation by pushing cheap rage bait and appealing to large fan bases like the lakers by doing lots of segments on them. If you want legit basketball coverage, hoops tonight is a great channel who actually understands the good and bad of teams. ESPN is dying anyway, this is just them on life support.
