I think VJ will be our version of Josh Hart, which I'm okay with. We just really need to improve shooting and rebounding, especially with the fact that embiid will most likely miss a lot of games. I think VJ will help with rebounding from the guard position, but you can tell that it will probably be something we'll struggle with again. I know it's pre season, but I have no reason to believe we'll be good at it. Hopefully, Grimes gives us 110% since he'll want a big contract. We'll also see what we get out of PG. That's a wildcard imo. He can be ass to all stars. I have no idea. If we can at least get 20ppg from PG and an 80% embiid, we should be okay. SHOULD be. Hate to say it, but we're probably closer to a rebuild than a chip. At least we have some young guys we can build our future around with Maxey, McCain and VJ.
All star by year 3/4 bookmark. He’s young and is showing everything in a prospect I’d want as a cornerstone player. Aggressive and willing defender. Natural adaptation in off and on ball situations and a solid jumper that will improve drastically cause he’s HUNGRY.

Sixers is not good enough without Embiid in the lineup, Maxey just isn’t good enough to carry the team consistently and I’m a big Maxey fan but we ain’t going anywhere without the big fella
I really like how the addition of Edgecombe allows you to zip the ball around(and I'm comfortable enough with VJ guarding wings.) that I wanna pair it next to Jared McCain(and/or Quentin Grimes.) Imagine both of those guys getting the space they need to actually do damage.
But the fact that you're almost literally forced to 3 guards, even if healthy(for ideal floor spacing.), we have to point at Daryl Morey and be like: Dude, not even one spot-up guy.
Vj is just a step too early on driving to the basket from off the bounce. Once Vj develops a better handle. He will be able to get that extra step he needs to finish around the hoop. But his athleticism is off the charts. If he developed at worst an Iguodala type of player then I would be satisfied With VJ as a player. But to me I see a young D. Wade.
