Devin Booker posted averages of 25.6 points, 7.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds on 46.1% shooting and 33.2% from three in the 2024-25 season, carrying the Phoenix Suns but ultimately missing the playoffs as the team entered a rebuilding phase.
This offseason the Suns underwent a major overhaul, including the departure of Kevin Durant, while Booker secured a two-year, roughly $145 million extension, cementing his status as the franchise’s unquestioned centerpiece. In 2025-26 he will be expected not only to shoulder more scoring opportunities but also to orchestrate the offense as a playmaker and provide leadership for a younger roster.
The key challenges will be managing the heavier workload without a drop in efficiency, staying healthy and integrating new teammates effectively. If the supporting cast clicks and Booker improves his three-point accuracy and defensive impact, he can continue to perform at an All-Star level and be the driving force behind the Suns’ push back into playoff contention.
